Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Our Progress Since Dr. King

Progress has been made ever since Dr. King said "Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable.... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals."

Today, there are policies that restricted child labor and created public health clinics to improve conditions for low-income families, regardless of their race or gender. These are all the results from the effort from people who believed and worked hard toward a better society. These people inspired others to take action and support what they thought, like supporting in an organization that wanted to end violence against different race and work toward the empowerment of diverse groups. It’s a never-ending effect. More people are standing up for what they believe is right.

We have made great progress as a country toward the goal of justice. We have resolved many important issues and we are still trying to do. Hopefully, we will continue to resolve other issues that are of importance as we have with the other already-resolved issues.
